Claflin Baseball Resumes Play Against Voorhees

Orangeburg, S.C.--The Claflin University baseball team resumes play tomorrow, Wednesday, Apr. 9 when they host Voorhees College.  This will be the second time in a week.  The Panthers dropped a 3-4 decision to the Tigers last Wednesday.  First pitch for tomorrow's contest is set for 5 p.m. at Historic Mirmow Field in Orangeburg.
 
Claflin, who is coming off a three-game sweep of Morehouse College, enters the game with a 19-16.  Wendell Ferguson leads the Panthers in batting at .362.  Sixto Guerrero is averaging .333 and Justin Vreeland who is 4-1 on the season has an ERA of 2.23.
 
The Panthers will travel to Columbia, S.C. this Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 12 and 13 to take on the Tigers of Benedict College in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) three game series.
