Claflin set to battle Clark Atlanta in SIAC Three-Game Series

Orangeburg, S.C. – The Claflin University baseball team will host Clark Atlanta University this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20, in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) series.

The three-game slate gets underway Saturday with a double-header beginning at 1 p.m. The series will wrap up Sunday with a single game stating at 1 p.m.

All games will be at Historic Mirmow Field.

Claflin will enter the weekend with a 9-19 overall record and 1-2 in league play. Jabari Brown leads the Panthers offensively with a .322 batting averages that includes a team-high 28 hits, 13 RBIs and 16 stolen bases. Reginald Rogers is batting .315 along with 23 hits with 15 runs driven in. He's followed by Jesse Minter who is just under the .300 mark, batting .297 with 19 hits and a team-high 19 steals. Rashad Bivens is the top run producer with 15 to go with a .263 batting average.

Clark Atlanta, 5-19 and 1-2, is led by Malcolm Seabrooks, who is hitting .351 with 26 hits.
Jason Howell is hitting at a .338 clip.

The Panthers will travel to Greenwood, S.C. to face Lander in a non-conference game. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
