Claflin Softball Falls to Regional Opponent Rollins in Non-conference Doubleheader

Winter Park, Fla.—The Claflin University softball team dropped a pair of regional softball games to Rollins College, falling in a doubleheader 9-1 and 7-0.
 
The two losses snapped the Lady Panthers four game win streak.
 
Claflin (9-9) managed just five hits across both the games.
 
Shaquailla German was the offensive leader on the day with three hits and one walk.
 
Kayla Cato scored the Lady Panthers only run off a sacrifice fly by Tiaria Norman.
 
Norman was the loser of game one while Yemaya Rich was the loser of game two.
 
Rollins (16-8) knocked out 11 hits in the win.
 
Claflin will close out its six-game road swing, Wednesday (March 8), when they travel to Lakeland, Fla., to face Florida Southern in a non-conference doubleheader.
 
The Lady Panthers will return home this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 11 and 12, when they host Albany State University in a three-game series.  This will be the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) opener for Claflin.
