Claflin Cross Country Sweeps CIAA Runners of the Week Honors
CHARLOTTE, NC - The mud and the rain could not stop the Claflin University Cross Country teams as the team swept the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Cross Country Men's and Women's Runner of the Week honors. Junior
Caleb Patterson was named the CIAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week while freshman
Madison McDonald was named the CIAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
The honors came after the two put on a pair of great performances at the Royals Challenge hosted by Queens (N.C.) University. McDonald started the day with a 21:23.6 in the women's 5K run. Patterson ran a 29:26.7 in the men's 8K run.
