Panthers to Open 2022-23 Season at Home vs. Allen
ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin Panthers will begin a new chapter when the team opens the 2022-23 season against the Allen Yellowjackets (0-1), Monday evening. In addition to opening the new season, the Panthers will also begin a new era under the guidance of head coach Brion Dunlap.
The Panthers will be looking to bounce back after some struggles during the 2021-22 season. The team finished the season with a 7-20 overall record. However, the team showed some signs of strong play late with two wins in their last four games of the season. The Panthers will return with senior forward Isiah Jennings leading the way. Last season, Jennings totaled 275 points and he averaged 11.0 points per game. He also pulled in 102 total rebounds and averaged 4.1 rebounds per game. Also returning this season will be senior guard
Allen Hatchett, who totaled 243 points and averaged 9.0 points per game.
