Claflin Kicks Off Incredible Weekend with PAWSUp Golf Classic Reception
ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin University Department of Athletics kicked off its biggest fund-raising effort of the season with the 2022 PAWSUp Golf Classic Reception. The event, which served as a kickoff for the second annual PAWSUp Golf Classic offered a terrific opportunity for fans to show their support for Claflin University student-athletes.
The reception was highlighted by several former National Football League (NFL) stars who showed up to show their support for Claflin University. The list of stars included former San Diego Charger Dwayne Harper, former New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Na'Shan Goodard, former New York Giant/Dallas Cowboy Chris Canty, former Philadelphia Eagles star Hugh Douglas, and former Dallas Cowboys linemen Erik Williams and Nate Newton.
In addition to the star-studded cast, the event also featured a raffle, a silent auction, and an autograph session.
The star-studded event served as a kick off for the PAWSUp Golf Classic, which will begin with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start at the Lake Marion Golf Course in Santee, South Carolina.
