ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin Lady Panthers (26-10, 12-2 CIAA) put on a dominant performance when the team took a 14-1 win over the Fayetteville State Broncos (15-18, 10-6 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Lady Panthers rolled to the win behind some strong hitting and equally impressive defense.
 
In this game, the Lady Panthers put on a dominating performance at the plate. The team totaled 15 hits in the game. Freshman designated hitter Kourtney White led the way when she went three-for-four at the plate with a home run, two runs scored, and three runs batted in (RBI). Senior first base Alexandria Beavers went three-for-three with a triple, two runs scored, and three RBI as of her own.
 
Senior pitcher Jaelyn Jackson (17-5) got the start and she took the win. She threw two innings for the Lady Panthers and she finished with three strikeouts and just one hit allowed. Sophomore Breyanna Collins came in for three innings and she finished with just one run allowed (none earned).
 
With the win, the Lady Panthers improved to 26-10 overall and 12-2 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play. The team will close out the 2023 regular season with a doubleheader against the Saint Augustine's Falcons.
