Claflin Department of Athletics to Hold 3rd Annual PAWSUp Golf Classic

ORANGEBURG, SC - For the third year in a row, the Claflin University Department of Athletics will hold its annual PAWSUp Golf Classic on July 6th - 7th. In addition to a terrific golf outing at the Lake Marion Golf Club for both individuals and teams, the classic will be kicked off by PAWSUp Celebrity Soiree on Thursday, July 6th.
 
Guests for the reception and the golf tournament will be announced at a later date. The highlight of the Classic will be the golf tournament on Friday, July 7th. The tournament will be comprised of two flights which will each feature a champion and a runner-up. There will also be a prize offered for the men's longest drive, the women's longest drive, and the closest to the pin.
 
The third annual Paws Up Golf Classic is a fundraising effort in support of Claflin University athletics and its student-athletes. There will be a $600 fee for four-person teams with a $150 fee for individuals. Each registration will include breakfast, access a practice facility, lunch, and 18 holes of golf with a cart. Team registration will also come with eight tickets to the PAWSUp Celebrity Soiree. Individual registrants will receive a similar package along with one (1) ticket to the PAWSUp Celebrity Soiree.
 
Tickets for the PAWSUp Celebrity Soiree are $50 each.  A full celebrity guest list along with location details will be announced at a later date.
 
Sponsorship opportunities for the 2023 PAWSUp Golf Classic are also available. There are currently six levels for sponsorship.
