Young Lady Panthers Lead the Way at Upstate Invite

SPARTANBURG, SC - The Claflin Lady Panthers returned to the course this weekend when the team competed in the UpState Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina Upstate. The team put on an impressive showing at the Milliken Research Park while competing against some of the top teams in the state.
 
The Claflin Lady Panthers saw their young team members put on some great performances in the women's 5K run. Claflin freshman Jamiya Carter led the way when she ran a 24:00.1. Fellow freshman Camry Braxton was close behind her with a 24:00.5. Junior Jasmine Young finished with a 24:45.0.
 
The Lady Panthers will return to the course, Thursday, when the team competes in the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Cross Country Championship in Salem, Virginia.
