Whitehead, III, Named to 2024-25 CIAA All-Conference Team

John Whitehead, III, was named to the 2024-25 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Conference Team, Sunday evening. The announcement was made at the 2025 CIAA Tip-Off Banquet.
A native of Augusta, Georgia, Whitehead, III, it was his superior shooting that earned him a spot among the players in the CIAA. Whitehead, III, finished the 2024-25 regular season with 89 three-pointers made to lead the CIAA. He is ranked 17
th in the nation in three-pointers made and he's ranked sixth in the nation in three-pointers per game (3.5). Scoring 14.1 points per game, he is the Panthers' leading scorer and he's ranked 11
th in the conference. Throughout the season, Whitehead, III, had several breakout efforts. He scored a season-high 24 points in a road win at Bluefield State. His long-range prowess was on full display when he hit seven three-pointers at Virginia Union.
With the effort, Whitehead, III, becomes the first Panther to ever earn a spot on the CIAA All-Conference team.
The Panthers finished the 2024-25 regular season as the second seed from the CIAA Southern Division and the team will kick off the 2025 CIAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament, Thursday evening.
