Riley Advances to Finals at NCAA Championships with Fifth-Place Finish in First Round
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Claflin junior sprinter
Jaevon Riley kicked off the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet with a bang when he placed fifth in the first round of the men's 400m run. With the fifth-place finish, Riley advances to the finals of the event where he will compete for the national title in the event.
Riley put on one of his best performances of the season when he competed, Thursday. He ran a 47.19 to earn the fifth-place finish in the first round of the event. The time was his second-best of the season.
With the finish, Riley will advance to the finals of the men's 400m run on Saturday. The event is scheduled to take place at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion.
