Lady Panthers Enjoy Strong Day at VertKlasse Meeting
HIGH POINT, NC - The Claflin Lady Panthers returned to the track for their second outdoor meet of the season and the team did not disappoint with some great performances at the 2025 VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point University.
The Lady Panthers had some great efforts on the track with their sprinters leading the way. Claflin sophomore
Obiageli Akubude led the way when she won the women's 100m hurdles with a 13.82, an NCAA Division II qualifying time. Freshman
Morgan Coverson-Springs also placed fourth in the women's 200m dash with a 24.16.

Jhnyia Knuckles added a great day for field events when she placed third in the women's triple jump with a 40'3.25" (12.27m) mark, an NCAA Division II qualifying mark as well.
The Lady Panthers will return to action next weekend when they head to nearby Columbia, South CArolina to take part in the Gamecock Invitational.
