Three Panthers Selected for 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - For third straight year, Claflin University will make its presence known on the national stage as three members of the Panthers men's track & field team were selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet. Claflin seniors Zion Murry and Romar Stapleton will join junior sprinter Jaevon Riley when they all compete for the national title on May 22-24, 2025.
Qualifying for the national championship meet is nothing new for junior Jaevon Riley who will be making his third trip to the outdoor national championship meet. He will enter the meet with the third best time in the nation with a 50.81 that he ran at the 2025 CIAA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet.
It was Murry's great performance in the men's 800m run that earned him a spot in the national championship meet. He will enter the meet ranked 18th after running a 1:49.25 at the University of Central Florida Black & Gold Challenge.
Stapleton earned his spot after a great performance in the men's 100m dash. He ran a 10.21 in the event at the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet. He will enter the meet with the 13th best time in the nation.
The 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet will be held at the Colorado State University-Pueblo Thunderdome in Pueblo, Colorado on May 22-24, 2025.
