PUEBLO, CO - The Claflin Panthers will take their place on the national stage, tomorrow, at the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet. Taking place at the CSU Thunder Bowl in Pueblo, Colorado, a pair of Panthers will begin their quest to be crowned national champions in their respective events, tomorrow.
Claflin junior
Jaevon Riley will have the most to prove when he takes the track. Tomorrow will mark Riley's third trip to the national championship meet. This year, he will enter the men's 400m hurdles preliminary round with the second-best time in the nation after recording a 50.81 in the event at the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet. Riley will compete in the third heat of the preliminary round. Last year, Riley earned All-American honors when he ran a 51.69 and placed sixth. As a freshman, Riley ran a 53.89 and placed 17
th in the event. The preliminary round of the men's 400m hurdles is set for a 7:55 p.m. start. On the east coast, the time will be 9:55 p.m.
Claflin senior
Romar Stapleton will be making his first trip to the national championship meet. He will compete in the men's 100m dash preliminary. He will enter the event ranked 13
th. His best time of the season was a 10.21 that he ran at the 2025 CIAA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet. The preliminary round of the men's 100m dash is set for a 6:25 p.m. start. Stapleton is scheduled to take part in the third heat of the event. On the east coast, the time will be 8:25 p.m.
