Riley Places 2nd In Prelims; Advances to Finals at NCAA Division II National Championship
PUEBLO, CO - Two members of the Claflin Panthers took part in the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet, Thursday afternoon. Claflin junior
Jaevon Riley led the way when he placed second in the preliminary round of the men's 400m hurdles. Claflin senior
Romar Stapleton also competed in the men's 100m dash prelims as well.
Riley had a dynamic performance in his third trip to the national championship meet. He ran a personal best 50.37 in the event, just 0.13 seconds off the pace for the top spot. The time is the best time that Riley has run during his collegiate career. With the finish, Riley will advance to the event finals on Saturday.

Romar Stapleton also took the track as well. He placed 16
th in the preliminary round of the men's 100m dash. He ran 10.23 in the event.
The Panthers will be back on the track, Friday, when senior
Zion Murry competes in the men's 800m run at the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet.
