NEW ORLEANS, LA - After a great season and some terrific performances on the national stage, the honors came in for a pair of Claflin Panthers. Claflin junior Jaevon Riley and senior Zion Murry were both honored with spots on the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American Team. The duo earned the honor after a pair of top five finishes at the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet.

The USTFCCCA All-American team is comprised of the top eight in their respective individual events. Second team selections are given to student athletes who finished in spots 9-12.

For Riley, his stellar performance in the men's 400m hurdles is what earned his spot on the USTFCCCA All-America Team. He finished second in the event with a personal best 49.87 at the national championship meet. With the finish, Riley earned a spot on the USTFCCCA All-American Team for the second straight season.

The honors didn't end there for the Panthers. Murry earned his spot on the team with his effort in the men's 800m run. Murry placed fourth in the event with a 1:49.59. His performance was especially impressive since he entered the national championship meet ranked 18th in the nation. With the fourth-place finish in the meet, Murry earned All-American honors for the first time in career.
