Knuckles, Coverson-Springs Named to USTFCCCA All-America Team
NEW ORLEANS, LA - After some terrific performances on the national stage, national honors will always follow. On Monday, a pair of Claflin Lady Panthers were named to the 2026 United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) Women's Indoor Track & Field All-America Team. Morgan Coverson-Springs and junior
Jhnyia Knuckles were both named as two of the top women's indoor track & field athletes in the nation.
The duo earned their national honors for the performances in the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championship Meet over the weekend. USTFCCCA All-America honors go to the top eight finishers in their respective individual events while those who place ninth through 16
th place individually earn second team All-America honors.
Coverson-Springs earned her first USTFCCCA All-American honor after her stellar performance in the women's 60m hurdles. She placed second in the event with an 8.31.
Joining Coverson-Springs on the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track & Field All-America Team is junior jumper
Jhnyia Knuckles. She earned second team honors after placing 16
th in the women's triple jump. She recorded a 38'9" (11.81m) mark to earn the finish.
The honors mark a terrific end to the 2025-26 women's indoor track & field season for the Lady Panthers. The team will now turn its attention to the outdoor track & field season.
