RALEIGH, NC - The Claflin Lady Panthers (12-11, 3-1 CIAA) kept their strong play going when the team took a 6-2 win over the Bluefield State Big Blue (7-17, 2-1 CIAA). The Lady Panthers played some clutch defense on their way to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) win.
As a team, the Lady Panthers had a strong day at the plate. The team recorded six hits, including two extra base hits. Claflin freshman
Aryana Meadows led the way, going two-for-three at the plate with a run batted in (RBI). Sophomore
Jordan Tolen added two runs scored.
Claflin junior
Sydra Pendleton (4-3) got the start and took the pitching win. She finished the game with two runs allowed (one earned) and she added six strikeouts.
With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 12-11 overall and 3-1 in CIAA play. The team will close out the 2026 CIAA Softball Round Up with a pair of games tomorrow.
