Riley Selected to Compete in 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championship Meet

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - After dominating on the conference and regional levels, Claflin senior sprinter Jaevon Riley will take his talents to the national stage after he was selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet. When the participants were announced, Tuesday afternoon, Claflin's senior sprinter was selected to compete for a spot atop the national podium.
 
All eyes will be on Riley as he has been one of the top sprinters in the nation all season long. He held the top time in the nation for much of the season, but will head into the national championship ranked fifth among the competitors. His top time of the season came when he ran a season-best 46.42 at the 2026 Carolina Classic hosted by the University of South Carolina. After running the time, he was honored as the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Track Athlete of the Week. He has also been honored as the 2025-26 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.
 
The 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championship Meet will be held on March 13th - 14th at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
