Three Lady Panthers Named to D2CCA All-Region Team

ORANGEBURG, SC - After another successful season, the honors just keep rolling in for the Claflin University softball team. On Monday, three members of the team were selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners' Association (D2CCA) All-Region Team. With three honorees, the Lady Panthers tied with East Stroudsburg State for the most student-athletes selected to the all-region team.
 
Claflin senior second base Aniyah Jackson was honored as a first team all-region selection. She earned the spot as one of the top hitting infielders in the region. She finished the 2026 season with a .456 batting average that included 62 hits in 136 at-bats. For the season, she totaled 15 doubles, nine triples, and three home runs. She turned those hits into 53 runs scored with 35 runs batted in (RBI).
 
The Lady Panthers also had a pair of student-athletes who earned second team D2CCA All-Region team honors. Junior pitcher Katelynn Grissom led the way. She was named to the team after posting a 16-6 pitching record for the season. She finished 2026 with 98 strikeouts in 138.0 total innings. She completed the season with a 3.14 earned run average (ERA). Joining her on the all-region second team was junior catcher Jeniah Williams. Williams finished the season with a .400 batting average. She recorded 44 hits in 110 at-bats, including four doubles, three triples, and a home run. She also added 35 runs scored with 25 RBI.
