Panthers Place Seventh at 2026 CIAA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet
ETTRICK, VA - The Claflin Panthers placed seventh at the 2026 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Championship Meet. The Panthers compiled 56 at the two-day meet.
The Panthers' day on the track was highlighted by the middle distance performers. The Panthers' 800m team put on a dynamic effort. Claflin senior
Jakarriez Sanders led the way when he won the men's 800m run with a 1:55.58. Junior
Ivan Taylor added a second-place finish in the event with a 1:55.89 to take second place. Freshman
Eureka Washington placed third in the men's 5000m run with a 15:57.04.

Javonta Simon led the way in field events when he won the men's high jump. He posted a 6' 8.25" (2.04m) mark in the event to claim the title.
