Claflin University Celebrates the Graduating Class of 2026
ORANGEBURG, SC - Claflin University celebrated its biggest day of the year when the university hosted the 2026 Claflin University Spring Commencement. The event, which was headlined by keynote speaker and author Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, celebrated the hard work and achievements of nearly 200 Claflin University graduate and undergraduate students in the class of 2026. Among the graduates were 25 Claflin University student-athletes who achieved their goal of earning their degrees from Claflin University.
While the day was special for the entire graduating class, there were several moments that stood out for the newly minted alumni student-athletes of Claflin University. Among the graduates was Lady Panthers volleyball player Siri Davis who earned both her bachelor's degree and her master's degree during her playing career at Claflin University. The graduates also included members of the Lady Panthers softball team who went on to win the 2026 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Softball Championship later in the day. The graduates also included multiple time United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-American Jaevon Riley and other members of the Claflin University back-to-back-to-back CIAA champion men's indoor track & field team.
