Coverson-Springs Places 12th in Women's 400m Hurdles at NCAA Division II Nationals
EMPORIA, KS - The Claflin University women's track & field team took their talents to the national stage, Thursday evening when they competed in the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet. Claflin sophomore
Morgan Coverson-Springs competed in the women's 400m hurdles while the Lady Panthers' 4x100m relay team took the track as well.
Coverson-Springs had a solid performance at the meet. She placed 12
th in the women's 400m hurdles preliminaries when she ran a 1:00.05. The top 8 finishers in the event qualified for the finals. The Lady Panthers' 4x100m relay team had a failed exchange and were unable to finish in their event.
The Lady Panthers aren't done, however, as Coverson-Springs will compete in the women's 100m hurdles while junior jumper
Jhnyia Knuckles will compete in the women's triple jump, tomorrow.
