Six Lady Panthers Named to 2026 CIAA All-Conference Team
CHARLOTTE, NC - After an extremely successful regular season and some dominant conference play, the Claflin Lady Panthers raked in several awards at the 2026 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Softball Batters Up Awards Banquet. After posting a 15-1 overall conference record and winning the CIAA Southern Division with a perfect 10-0 record, the Lady Panthers had six players to earn honors on the CIAA All-Conference team.
There were four Lady Panthers to earn spots on the CIAA All-Conference First Team. Claflin senior
Aniyah Jackson was a first team selection at the second base position while junior
Michaela Cromarty was a first team selection at the designated player position. Junior outfield
Lauryn Foster was a first all-conference outfielder while fellow junior
Jeniah Williams was a first team all-conference selection at the catcher position.
There were a pair of Lady Panthers to earn spots on the CIAA All-Conference Second Team. Junior pitcher
Katelynn Grissom earned a spot on the team while freshman Aryanna Meadows rounded out the Claflin selections with a spot on the team at the utility position. Meadows also earned a spot on the CIAA All-Rookie Team as well.
With the honors in tow, the Lady Panthers will kick off play in the 2026 CIAA Softball Championship Tournament. The team will enter the tournament as the top seed from the CIAA Southern Division and they will take on the Lincoln (Pa.) Lady Lions, the fourth seed from the CIAA Northern Division. The Lady Panthers will take field at 5:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon.
