Biography

2021: Nytajah had a strong performance during the 2021 season. She competed in all five meets for the Lady Panthers. She finished the season with her best performance when she ran a career-best 23:44.7 5K time at the 2021 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Cross Country Championship. She also ran an impressive 24:18.4 at the Royals XC Challenge hosted by Queens (N.C.). She also ran a 30:49.4 time in the 6K at the Koala XC Classic. The time also marked a career-best for Smalls.
 
2020: The 2020 cross country season was cancelled due to concerns regarding COVID-19.
 
2019: Nytajah competed in all six meets of the 2019 cross country season. Her best 5K time of the season came at the 2019 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Cross Country Championships where she ran a 25:39.5. She also ran a 25:47.1 at the Upstate Invitational. Her best 6K time came at the Flying Fleet Invitational where she recorded a 34:57.2.
 
Personal: Nytajah joined the Panthers in the fall of 2019. She came to Claflin University as a graduate of Battery Creek High School. She is a Biology major and she is the daughter of Mykeita Pierce and Dwayne Smalls.
