Biography

Jerrez joined the Panthers in the fall of 2022. He came to Claflin University after attending Hinds Community College. He also competed at Pearl River Community College where he led the team to a Mississippi Association of Community College Conference (MACCC) State Championship. He was equally impressive in the classroom where he earned a place on the Dean’s List. He is a graduate of Clinton High School where he was named Offensive Player of the Year and he was ranked as one of the top players in the state of Mississippi. He was also selected for the Mississippi vs. Alabama All-Star game. He is the son of Marie Abston and Jerrell Porter.
