Biography

Payton joined the Lady Panthers in the fall of 2022. She came to Claflin University as a graduate of South Pointe High School where she was both an athletic and academic star. She was a four-year varsity starter during her career. She was also impressive in the classroom where she was named an AP Scholar and she earned a spot in the Beta Club. She also earned a spot on the all-academic Honor Roll. She was also a Health Science Completer and a Veterinary Assisting Completer. She is a Biology major and she is the daughter of Ronda and Patrick Hope.
