Jasmine Summers proudly serves as the new Head Cheerleading Coach for the Claflin University Cheerleaders, bringing with her nearly 10 years of stomp and shake cheer experience, leadership, mentorship, and a passion for developing young women both on and off the floor. Known for her energy, discipline, creativity, and commitment to excellence, Coach Summers is dedicated to creating a renewed culture within the program centered around confidence, sisterhood, accountability, and school pride.
Before joining the Panther family, Jasmine built an extensive professional background in the automotive industry, serving as a Finance Manager for nationally recognized brands including Porsche, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. Throughout her career, she became recognized for her strong leadership abilities, professionalism, relationship-building skills, and ability to motivate teams to perform at a high level. Leadership has always been a thriving lane for Jasmine, and those same qualities continue to guide her vision for the future of the Claflin cheer program.
In addition to her coaching role, Jasmine currently serves as the Administrative Coordinator for the Claflin University Department of Public Safety under the leadership of Chief Melvin Williams. Her work within public safety has further strengthened her foundation in leadership, structure, discipline, communication, and respect — all qualities she believes are essential in building successful student leaders and athletes.
Coach Summers plans to introduce a dynamic and well-rounded coaching staff that specializes in every major element of cheerleading, including strength and conditioning, cheer and chant creation, stunts and tumbling, academic excellence, and personal and professional development. Her vision extends far beyond performances and competitions; she is committed to helping her athletes become confident, empowered, educated, and successful young women prepared for life beyond college.
Jasmine began her educational journey pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, which she plans to complete at Claflin University. A proud native of Bowman S.C, she is also a devoted mother to her two sons, Cameron and Carson, who continue to inspire her daily drive and determination.
Outside of her professional and coaching responsibilities, Jasmine is the owner of Southern Graze, a luxury charcuterie business where she creates elegant charcuterie displays and beautifully curated boards designed to transform gatherings into sophisticated and unforgettable experiences. Through entrepreneurship, mentorship, and leadership, Jasmine Summers continues to make an impact in every space she enters while inspiring others to pursue excellence with confidence and purpose
