Markayla Hunter is in her fourth year as the head coach of the Claflin University Cheerleading Team. While attending Claflin University, she was a proud member of the Cheerleading Team all four years and graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Hunter’s mission has been to expand the program to ensure her ladies are recognized as student-athletes and continue to mold the team to be the spirit and pride of her beloved alma mater.

Hunter is from Orangeburg, South Carolina and she is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She recently graduated from Denmark Technical College with her Cosmetology License. She is now the owner of Klaws by Kayla LLC here in Orangeburg, S.C. Hunter has eleven years of Stomp & Shake as well as Traditional Cheerleading experience.
