Claflin Panthers Drops Road Decision to Elizabeth City State

Elizabeth City, N.C.—Adolph Caldwell came off the bench to score a game-high 20 points, 13 in the second-half, as the Claflin University men's basketball team fell to Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) 67-73, in a non-conference match.  With the loss, the Panthers drop to 2-6 on the season.
 
Claflin had two players to score in double-figures as Arthur Talley came off the bench to score 16 points, all in the second-half, in the contest.  Ryan McNeil-Moses, who is playing in his first game of the season, scored nine points and pulled in five rebounds for the Panthers, who out-rebounded ECSU by three, 31-28.
 
ECSU (7-5) had three players to finish in double-figures led by Darrell Ward and Kyree Marshall who scored 17 apiece.  Miykael Faulcon scored 15 points and Ward pulled in a game high eight rebounds for the Vikings who shot 84 percent from the charity stripe.
 
The Panthers will close out the 2014 calendar year at home this Saturday, Dec. 20 when they host Florida Tech in the second game of the Holiday Basketball Showcase.  Tip-off for Saturday's game is set for 3:30 p.m. in Tullis Arena on the campus of Claflin University.
