Claflin Baseball Host Coker in Non-Conference Doubleheader

Time Changed From 5 PM to 1 PM

Orangeburg, S.C.—The Claflin Baseball team will host Coker College in a non-conference doubleheader, Tuesday, March 10 at Historic Mirmow Field in Orangeburg.  The matchup, which was originally set for a 5 p.m. single game, will now be a doubleheader with a 1 p.m. start time.

Claflin enters the contest with a 5-10 overall record after dropping all three games of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) series to Albany State this past weekend.  Coker enters the contest with an 11-7 overall record.

Wendell Ferguson is pacing the Panthers with 19 hits for a batting average of .373.  Jesse Minter has 13 runs-11 hits and Sixto Guerrero has 11 runs-12 hits for Claflin. Coker is led by Sammy Song with 14 runs-22 hits and a batting average of .344.  Ernie Kirkwood has 12 runs-22 hits with 13 RBI's for a hitting percentage of .328 for the Cobras.

Claflin will host St. Augustine's University on Wednesday in a non-conference doubleheader.  First pitch for Wednesday's game is set for 3 p.m. at Historic Mirmow Field.
