Claflin Host Edward Waters in Final Regular Season Baseball Game

Orangeburg, S.C.—The Claflin University Baseball team will host Edward Waters, tomorrow, Apr. 16 in their final regular season game of the 2014 season.  First pitch for tomorrow's contest is set for 2 p.m. at Historic Mirmow Field.  Tomorrow's contest is also designated as senior day for the Panthers.  Senior presentations for baseball as well as track and field will take place prior to Game One of the doubleheader.
 
Claflin enters the game with a 23-16 overall record.  In their last outing the Panthers swept Benedict in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) three-game series.  Wendell Ferguson leads Claflin in batting, averaging.348.  Justin Vreeland leads the pitching staff with a 5-1 win loss record.
 
The Panthers will travel to Ozark, Ala. next Thursday-Saturday, Apr. 24-26, to participate in the 2014 SIAC Baseball Championships.
