Claflin Defeats Spring Hill College 67-57 in SIAC Match-up

Orangeburg, S.C.—Arthur Talley scored a game-high 15 points and Patrell Rogers came off the bench to drop in 14 as the Claflin University men's basketball defeated Spring Hill College, 67-57, in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) matchup in Tullis Arena.  With the win, the Panthers improves to 6-7 overall and 3-3 in the SIAC.

The Panthers, who will play their next two games at home, had three players to score in double-digits as Ryan McNeill-Moses scored 10 points on the night.  McNeill-Moses also led the team in rebounding with nine.  Michael Wynn dished out six assists with three steals and Fare'al Walker came off the bench to score eight points with eight rebounds for Claflin who shot 76.3 from the charity stripe.

Spring Hill College (3-12, 2-4 SIAC) was led by Jack Morrissey with 15.  Robert Drummond and Jackson Fos scored eight each while DeVaughn Hardrick pulled in eight rebounds for the Badgers in the loss.

The Panthers will host Tuskegee on Saturday (Jan. 17) at 3:30 p.m.  The game, which is preceded by the Claflin women against Tuskegee at 1:30 p.m., is designated as community day in Tullis Arena.  All general admission tickets are $5.
