Claflin Defeats Morehouse, 86-69, in SIAC Men’s Basketball Contest

Atlanta, Ga.— Claflin University defeated Morehouse College, 86-69, in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) men's basketball contest in Atlanta.  With the win, the Panthers improves to 12-12 overall and 9-6 in the SIAC.  Morehouse falls to 12-9 overall and 10-4 in the SIAC.
 
Adolph Caldwell and Ryan McNeill-Moses each recorded a double-double for the Claflin in the contest.  Caldwell finished the game with 18 points-10 rebounds while McNeill-Moses dropped in 17 points with 10 rebounds. 
 
The Panthers collectively had five players to finish in double-digits as Carlton Johnson scored 15, Patrell Rogers had 14 and Trevor Dantzler finished with 10.
 
Morehouse was led by Tyrius Walker who scored a game-high 24 points.  Javarius Gay had 12 and Tyrone Brown and Robert Askew scored 10 each.  Brown led the Maroon Tigers in rebounding with eight.
 
The Panthers will host Albany State this Thursday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Tullis Arena on the campus of Claflin University.  It will be Military Day at Tullis Arena.
