Claflin Basketball Falls to Morehouse on the Road

Atlanta, Ga. -- The Claflin University men's basketball team opened its two game road swing with an 82-76 loss to Morehouse College.
 
Claflin (16-8, 11-5 SIAC) will remain in Atlanta to face Clark Atlanta on Monday (Feb. 20).
 
This is the second time in two weeks the Panthers have fallen to the Maroon Tigers.  Morehouse defeated Claflin 87-84, in Orangeburg on February 6.
 
Ryan McNeill-Moses paced Claflin with a team-high 20 points and 12 rebounds.
 
Jordan Jones added 14 points while Austin Lawton recorded a double-double 10 points-10 rebounds for the Panthers. 
 
Benjamin Williams scored nine points and Triston Thompson contributed eight points with four rebounds and four assists in the loss.
 
Tyrius Walker and Martravious Little led Morehouse (15-9, 9-7 SIAC) with 27 and 14 points, respectively.
 
Despite the loss, Claflin outrebounded Morehouse 41-30 and had 20 second points compared to Morehouse's eight.
 
After Monday's game, Claflin will return home for its final game of the regular season next Thursday, Feb 23 when they host Albany State in a SIAC East Division matchup
