St. Petersburg, Fla. (2/17-18/18) —The Claflin University baseball team dropped all three games of its weekend series with Eckerd College at Turley Complex in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Claflin fell 10-6 and 16-7 in a doubleheader on Saturday (Feb. 17) and fell 21-4 in the single game on Sunday (Feb. 18).
For the series the Panthers picked up a combined 17 runs off 27 hits over the weekend.
Darrell Langston paced Claflin over the weekend scoring six runs with six hits, including a double, and three RBIs.
Grayland Fowler knocked out six hits with one run and three RBIs. Fowler went 3-for-3 in game one.
Malik Brown went 3-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs in the game two on Saturday. Brown was a double away from hitting for the cycle in game two as he knocked out a single, triple and homerun along with a walk in the contest.
The Panthers will look to get back to winning ways this Wednesday, Feb. 21, when they host Coker College in a single game. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Historic Mirmow Field in Orangeburg.
