Claflin Cruise Past Lincoln 76-61

Lincoln University (Pa.)— The Claflin University men's basketball team turned 19 Lincoln University (Pa.) turnovers into 28 points en route to defeating the Lions 76-61 in a non- conference contest in Lincoln University (Pa.). The win the second straight, pushes Claflin record to 4-6 on the season.  Lincoln drops to 2-9.

The teams will meet again in Orangeburg on January 18.

Letrell West led three Panthers in double-digits with 23, including 10-11 from the free-throw line.  West also led the team in rebounding with five.

Brandon Davis scored 13 and Romero Hill added 11 for Claflin, who finished the game with 30 paint points.

Deaquan Williams led Lincoln (Pa.) with a double-double, 17 points-15 rebounds.

Zahrion Blue contributed 15 points and Brendan Wagner added 10 rebounds for Lincoln (Pa.), who outrebounded the Panthers 51-29.

Claflin owned the advantage in every other category.  The Panthers had a 43.5-33.9 edge in field goals and connected on 82.4 percent from the charity compared to 70.4 percent by Lincoln.

Claflin led by 14, 26-22 at the half.
