Ettrick, Va.—The Claflin University baseball team dropped a double header to Virginia State University (VSU) falling 6-0 and 3-0, Saturday, Apr. 20 in Ettrick, Va.  The teams were scheduled to play a double header on Friday (Apr. 19) but it was cancelled due to inclement weather.

VSU improved to 14-17 on the season.

The Trojans pitchers kept the Claflin offense in check, allowing just seven Panther hits on the day.  In game one Claflin posted three hits and in game two they posted four hits.

In the opening game, Clyde Parker had two of the three hits for Claflin, including a double. Parker reached base three times in game one, drawing a walk in the second inning.

VSU put an additional run on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning as Darius Holeman hit a RBI single down the right field line with two outs to score Rashad Stewart.
