Lady Panthers Add Jayla Dixon in Early Signing Period

ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin University women's basketball program made it first big signing of the year with the signing of 6'0" power forward Jayla Dixon. With her addition, the Lady Panthers will improve an already impressive front court.
Dixon will come to Claflin University after completing an impressive high school career. She is a native of Chicago, Illinois where she will be a graduate of Crete Monee high School where she had a terrific high school career. She is currently averaging a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds per game and she is ranked 55
th overall and she is the eighth best power forward according to the Illinois Prep Girls Hoops. For her efforts, she was selected to the South Suburban Conference all-conference team. Her accomplishments continued in the classroom as well as she was inducted into the National Honor Society and she holds a 3.5 grade-point average (GPA).
