Lady Panthers Have a Strong Showing at Winthrop/Adidas
RESULTS
ROCK HILL, SC - The Claflin Lady Panthers cross country team had a great showing at the 2021 Winthrop/Adidas Cross Country Invitational, Saturday morning. Competing against some of the best teams on the east coast, the Lady Panthers were able to put on a strong showing at the meet.
"The team ran well," said Claflin men's and women's cross country head coach Garon Jackson said following the meet. "We just need to get everyone healthy so we will rest and recover this week and be ready for October 2
nd."
The Lady Panthers had some great performances by their upper classmen to lead the way for the team. Senior
Esther Chukwunwike led the way for the team when she ran a 24:38.39 in the women's 5K run while fellow senior
Sky Buie-Cox added a 24:48.33. Junior
Nytajah Smalls added a 26:48.17 while junior
Daje Bartley added a 27:18.79.
The Lady Panthers will return to action on Saturday, October 2
