Lady Panthers, Panthers Record Top-10 Finishes at Newberry XC Invitational
NEWBERRY, SC - After getting Hurricane Helene washed away last week's competition, the Claflin Lady Panthers and Panthers returned to the course for the Newberry XC Invitational. Both teams made the most of their returns with top-10 finishes in both meets.
The Lady Panthers set the tone with a strong showing in the women's 5K run. Claflin senior
Madison McDonald led the way when she placed seventh with a 21:20.9. Fellow senior Jonica Fuller added a 30
th place finish when she recorded a 24:57.7.
The Panthers would not be outdone as they turned in a top 10 finish of their own. Freshman Graysen Manning placed seventh in the men's 8K run with a 27:25.5. Senior DaMauri Little placed 19
th with a 29:00.3.
The two teams will be back in action next Saturday when they take part in the 17
