COLUMBUS, GA - The Claflin Panthers (1-43, 0-26 PBC) gave a great effort, but the team could not find any answers when they took an 11-0 road loss to the Columbus State Cougars (30-19, 16-10 PBC), Saturday afternoon.
There was no shortage of effort by the Panthers, but the team could not seem to get their offense going in the loss. As a team, the Panthers managed two hits in the game. Claflin senior catcher
Michael Bailey and junior outfielder
Michael Coit recorded one hit each in the loss. In all, the Panthers left five runners on base and recorded three fielding errors in the loss.

Demetrous Warren came in for 4.2 innings and he finished the game with two runs allowed (one earned) and a strikeout.
With the loss, the Panthers fall to 1-43 overall and 0-26 in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play. The two teams would go on to meet in the regular season finale later in the day.
