Calvin Named Claflin Interim Volleyball Head Coach
ORANGEBURG, SC - The Claflin University volleyball program looked into its past to guide their way into the future as former Lady Panther Lauren Calvin was named Interim Volleyball Head Coach.
"I am very happy to have Coach Calvin to join the Claflin family," said Claflin University Director of Athletics Tony O'Neal. "I am truly excited for where she will lead this team."
Calvin is no stranger to the Lady Panthers. She was a member of the team from 2010 – 2013. She was a three-time Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) all-conference player. The team finished third and as runners-up during her career. For her career, she totaled 669 kills with 69 service aces and 228 total blocks (72 solo).
The Lady Panthers will open the 2024 season on Tuesday, September 3
