Connell Named CIAA Volleyball Rookie of the Week Again
CHARLOTTE, NC - Claflin University freshman
Aryanna Connell was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Volleyball Rookie of the Week. She took the honor after leading a big week for the Claflin Lady Panthers volleyball team.
Connell had a strong offensive effort during the week. She totaled 32 kills during the week with seven service aces. Her best match came when she scored a team-high 16 kills with five service aces to lead the team to a three-set win over the Lincoln (Pa.) Lady Lions.
The Lady Panthers will be back in action, tomorrow, when the team heads next door to take on the South Carolina State Bulldogs.
