Lewis Named to CIAA Preseason All-Conference Team
CHARLOTTE, NC - Claflin senior forward
Ashari Lewis was named to the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Preseason All-Conference Team, Tuesday morning. The honor is the first all-conference honor for the Lady Panther senior who will lead a young group of Lady Panthers this season.
Lewis took home the preseason honor after a terrific season of play during her career. Last season, she played in all 26 games for the Lady Panthers, and she finished the season as the team's third leading scorer with 233 total points, and she averaged 9.0 points per game. She also finished the season as the team's leading rebounder with 122 rebounds and averaging 4.7 rebounds per game. She scored a career-high 18 points with six rebounds against Livingstone. She also saved her career-best rebounding effort for when it counted. She pulled in a career-high 10 rebounds against Elizabeth City State in the opening round of the 2025 CIAA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament.
The Lady Panthers will open the 2025-26 season on November 15
th when they head to Johnson City, Tennessee when they take on the NCAA Division I East Tennessee State Buccaneers.
