Connell, Harris Named to CIAA All-Rookie Team
CHARLOTTE, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced the 2025 All-Rookie Team, Thursday evening. Claflin freshman outside hitters
Aryanna Connell and
Zaniya Harris were both named to the team as some of the top newcomers to the conference.
Both were offensive powers for the team and earned their spots on the team due to their prowess on the court. Connell led the way for the Lady Panthers with 244 total kills for the season. She also finished the 2025 regular season ranked fifth in the CIAA in total kills. Harris was not far behind with 200 total kills. The pair also combined for 55 total service aces with Harris recording 28 service aces while Connell added 27. The duo was also impressive defensively with Connell recording 29 total blocks (17 solo) while Harris added 10 total blocks (five solo) and 97 digs.
