Claflin Doubleheader at Fayetteville Time Changed Due to Forecasted Weather
FAYETTEVILLE, NC - With a forecast of snow, freezing rain and sleet in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area, the decision was made to move Wednesday's basketball doubleheader between Claflin University and Fayetteville State University up to a 12:00 p.m. start.
The two games were scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. However, due to Wednesday's forecast including rain, freezing rain, and sleet before 2:00 p.m. and sleet between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., travel conditions and the safety of students, student-athletes, and fans of both teams were a major concern. With that in mind, the decision was made to begin the women's basketball game at 12:00 p.m. while the men's game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start.
