Saturday's Doubleheader Postponed Due to the Threat of Inclement Weather
ORANGEBURG, SC - With the threat of incoming inclement weather, the basketball doubleheader between Claflin University and Johnson C. Smith University has been postponed. The two teams will instead face on Monday, February 2
nd at Edward L. Tullis Arena on the campus of Claflin University.
Originally, the Claflin Lady Panthers and Golden Bulls were scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off while the Panthers and Golden Bulls were scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off. However, with a Saturday weather forecast that includes snow, with a 70% chance of precipitation, the decision to postpone the games was made.
The Lady Panthers will head into the game with a 9-6 overall record and a 5-4 record in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play. The Panthers will head into the game with a 10-8 overall record and a 6-2 record in CIAA play.
On Monday, the doubleheader will begin with the Lady Panthers tipping off at 5:00 p.m. The Panthers are scheduled to start with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
