MONTGOMERY, AL - The Claflin Lady Panters (5-6) had some struggles at the plate when the team took a 9-0 loss to the NCAA Division I Jackson State Tigers(7-5), Sunday afternoon. The Lady Panthers played some strong defense in the game, but the team's offensive struggles proved to be more than the team could overcome.
The Lady Panthers finished the game with four total hits in the game. Claflin junior
Jeniah Williams led the way for the team with a two-for-three batting effort in the game. Fellow juniors
Michaela Cromarty and
Lauryn Foster each added a hit each for the team.

Katelynn Grissom (3-4) took the pitching loss for the team. She threw seven innings of the game and she finished with four strikeouts.
With the loss, the Lady Panthers fall to 5-6 on the season. The team will return home for their next action when the team hosts the Coker Cobras in a doubleheader on March 5
