Claflin's Floyd, Lewis Named to 2026 CIAA Women's Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team
BALTIMORE, MD - After some great performances at the 2026 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Basketball Tournament, Claflin senior forward

Tyra Floyd were both named to the 2026 CIAA Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team. After leading the Lady Panthers to a pair of wins, the duo were honored for their efforts on the court.
Lewis led the way for the Lady Panthers with 44 points in the team's three games. For the tournament, she averaged 14.7 points per game with 12 total rebounds, seven assists, and five steals. She opened the tournament in a heroic fashion when she led the team with 23 points and seven rebounds in a win over the Lincoln (Pa.) Lady Lions and she followed the effort with 14 points and two rebounds in an upset win over Virginia State.
Floyd took home the honor after a breakout performance that highlighted the tournament. She finished the tournament with 21 points and four steals in the game. She stepped up for a 16-point performance to upset the Virginia State Trojans in the quarterfinal round of the tournament. She hit four three-pointers in the game with three steals and an assist. She also added five points with three rebounds in the team's opening round win over the Lincoln (Pa.) Lady Lions.
The honors mark the first for the two Lady Panthers and highlight a spectacular end to the team's season.
